The Full Story
As Lifers in the Pentecostal tradition, we have stories to tell. I confess I am unabashedly a pentecostal (lower case p). The Spirit is raw, jerky and loves to mess with our best theologies as the Spirit guides us in truth. And sometimes the journey in retrospect is heartfelt, funny, bizarre and just entertaining.. This is your opportunity to share your story.Uuse the submission protocol below and submit your story to share. All submissions will be considered. Keep it civil. :-)

The Trough
I figure it might be fun to begin with things that belonged in the trough growing up Pentecostal.

The list can be long and given today's context at times in humorous I begin with my teenage life in the early 70s: things that were banned,
One of the churches in St.John's kicked many of the young women out of the youth choir because their ears were recently pierced.
Long hair on boys that covered the ears
Cards, playing of cards (rook excluded)
Attending anything in a movie theatre. Churches in my area banned attending David Wilkerson's the Cross and the Switchblade because as an outreach program it was shown in a local movie theatre.
Of course there was the regular no smoking drinking or going with girls that do participating in halloween
As a Bible college student not wearing a suit jacket to church (1975) today in the spirit of rebellion I now dress up for church.
while attending a Pentecostal school in Nfld we were not allowed to participate in inter school sports
Christian rock music or any music with a beat.
Oh the memories
